As Canadians enjoy a greater sense of normalcy due to lifted COVID-19 restrictions, Macro Properties continues to take safety precautions and prioritize the health of its tenants, employees, and guests.

The pandemic has been around for more than 18 months, and it feels good to do the things we once took for granted. It’s still early days in Canada’s vaccine rollout, and we cannot let our guards down. It’s important for all of us to continue to adhere to safety measures.

At Macro Properties we continue to lead by example. Our leadership team provided staff who wanted to receive the Covid-19 vaccine, with leave to receive their vaccinations, and offered paid time off for those who needed recovery time from any post-vaccination side effects.

We are happy to announce most of our employees have shared with us that they are fully vaccinated. These include employees who work as our cleaning staff, administrators, and maintenance technicians, as well as our senior management team.

Mandatory Mask Wearing

Mask wearing for all staff entering or working within tenant spaces is mandatory without any exceptions. This requirement also applies to authorized contractors and all hospitality staff.

With Provincial governments lifting COVID-19 restrictions for mask use in BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan, our staff are no longer required by law to wear masks in common areas and in private offices. Front line staff that routinely interact with our tenants or with the general public are still encouraged to utilize a plastic barrier.

Despite the lifted mask wearing restrictions in BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan, we continue to encourage mask wearing. Employees have been asked to keep a mask handy when they are interacting with tenants and the general public.

Other Safety Measures

  • Floor decals are still available throughout our buildings to encourage social distancing.
  • Macro Properties staff are encouraged to practice social distancing and continue safe hygiene habits such as frequent hand washing.
  • Social distancing in staff areas such as workstations, washrooms, lunchrooms, etc. is encouraged.
  • Employees continue to self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 and are advised to get tested for COVID-19, stay home, and isolate when feeling unwell.

The pandemic is a fluid situation.

At Macro Properties, we are proud to have a dedicated team that continues to stay on top of the latest public health information and respond swiftly to keep all our building occupants safe.
